Welcome to Laundry Buddies! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website(s), services, products, mobile applications, or other online and offline communications (collectively, the "Services") operated by SoftRinse Group LLC DBA Laundry Buddies ("we", "us", "our").

These Terms are a binding contract between you and Laundry Buddies. Your use of the Services in any way means you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please note that your use of and access to our Services are subject to the following terms. If you do not agree to all of the following, you may not use or access the Services in any manner.


1. Updates To These Terms

At Laundry Buddies, we're always working to make our service better. That means these Terms may change from time to time as our business and technology evolve. When we update the Terms, we'll post the revised version on our website, and we may also notify you by email or other reasonable methods.

If you don't agree with the updated Terms, you may choose to stop using our Services. Continued use of Laundry Buddies after the updated Terms go into effect means you accept the changes.

Any changes to these Terms must come from us and be clearly posted or communicated. No other changes or modifications will be valid unless agreed to in writing and signed by both you and Laundry Buddies.


2. Providing Your Information

To use certain features of Laundry Buddies, you may need to create an account, choose a password, and provide some basic information like your name, phone number, email, and delivery address. You agree to give us accurate, complete, and up-to-date information — and to update it if anything changes (especially your phone number, email, or address).

You may also have the option to sign in using a third-party account as a Single Sign On (SSO) option. If you choose to do that, you give us permission to access certain information from that account — based on your privacy settings with that service. You remain in control of what information we can see, and you can manage that through your third-party account settings at any time.

By using Laundry Buddies, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.


3. Residential & Commercial Use

Laundry Buddies services are available for both personal (residential) and business (commercial) use.

  • Personal accounts must use the Services only for non-commercial, internal household purposes.
  • Commercial clients (such as businesses, property managers, gyms, or short-term rental operators) may use our Services on behalf of their organization, provided they are authorized to do so and agree to these Terms on the company's behalf.

If you are signing up on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms and are responsible for all use under your account.


4. Messaging & Communications

As part of your experience with Laundry Buddies, you may receive communications from us — including email and SMS text messages — related to your orders, account activity, or promotions.

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages from Laundry Buddies, which may include updates about your orders, reminders, and promotional content. Some of these messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system (autodialer). Your consent to receive promotional texts is not required to use our services or make a purchase.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. If you have questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

You may opt out of promotional text messages at any time by:

  • Updating your communication preferences in your account settings
  • Following the opt-out instructions provided in any text message

Please note: even if you opt out of promotional messages, you may still receive order-related or service-related texts (e.g. pickup or delivery reminders) whenever you place a new order.

By opting in and providing a phone number, you confirm that you have the authority to receive messages at that number and that any individual you register or list has given their consent to receive communications from Laundry Buddies. You agree to indemnify and hold Laundry Buddies harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of unauthorized use of a number or failure to obtain appropriate consent.


5. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

We want Laundry Buddies to be a safe, respectful, and reliable service for everyone. By using our Services, you agree that you will not upload content, submit information, or otherwise use or interact with our platform in any way that:

  • Infringes on the intellectual property or other legal rights of others (including ours)
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation — including privacy laws, export restrictions, or local laundry handling regulations
  • Is fraudulent, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or deceptive in nature
  • Compromises the security of your account or anyone else's (for example, by sharing your login or impersonating another user)
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or personal information
  • Tries to bypass or disrupt the security of any network or service, including attempting to crack passwords or encryption
  • Sends spam, auto-responder messages, or any type of unsolicited communications through the platform
  • Overloads or interferes with the normal operation of the website or services, including running automated scripts, bots, or crawlers
  • Copies, stores, or scrapes large amounts of our content or data without permission
  • Attempts to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract source code or internal logic from our platform or services
  • Threatens or harasses Laundry Buddies staff, drivers, contractors, or customer support team members
  • Engages in behavior that we determine to be abusive, inappropriate, or otherwise objectionable
  • Any violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to Laundry Buddies, at our discretion.


6. Your Rights and Our Content

Everything you see or access on Laundry Buddies — including text, images, graphics, photos, articles, logos, icons, and any content submitted by users (collectively, the "Content") — is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Unless the content belongs to you, you agree not to use, copy, reproduce, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, sell, distribute, or exploit any of it without the written permission of the owner. That includes anything owned by Laundry Buddies or licensed to us by partners or users.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Content for personal or authorized business use only, and only in connection with your use of the Laundry Buddies Services in the United States. This license allows you to view and interact with our website and services — but it does not give you the right to use our brand assets, copy our website, or create spin-off versions of anything we offer.

Even if our website allows you to download or save something (like receipts, order details, or images), the same rules apply — just because you can download it doesn't mean you can reuse it without permission.

Please respect the rights of creators and the integrity of the Laundry Buddies platform. We work hard to build and maintain it — and we appreciate you using it responsibly.


7. Changes to Our Services

At Laundry Buddies, we're always working to improve and evolve our Services — which means things may change from time to time.

We may update, add, remove, or adjust features, restrict access to certain parts of the Service, or even discontinue parts of it altogether. If we make a material change that could significantly affect your experience, we'll do our best to give you a heads-up — but sometimes that may not be possible.

We also reserve the right to remove any content from the platform at any time, for any reason — including if we believe it violates these Terms or someone reports it as such. These decisions are made at our discretion and may happen without notice.

8. Service Fees and Billing

Laundry Buddies offers both free and paid features through our website and mobile app. Below is how we handle pricing, payments, billing, and promotional offers.

You may browse and use parts of the Laundry Buddies platform at no cost. If we decide to introduce fees for currently free features, we'll let you know in advance. You'll have the option to continue using those features by paying the applicable fees, or to stop using them. Message and data rates from your mobile provider may still apply for SMS/text notifications.

Laundry Buddies offers paid laundry services such as Wash & Fold for residential and commercial laundry processing ("Paid Services"). Prices are listed on our Pricing page and during the order process. By using any Paid Service, you agree to pay the listed price and any applicable taxes or fees.

We use trusted third-party payment processors (currently Stripe via Cents) to securely handle your payment information. By using Paid Services, you authorize Laundry Buddies and its processor to charge your selected payment method for any applicable fees.

Payment terms will be governed both by these Terms and by your agreement with your payment provider. You are responsible for keeping your payment method and billing information up to date.

We reserve the right to correct pricing or billing errors even after payment has been processed.

When you place an order, we may place a temporary authorization hold on your card equal to your estimated total (based on bag weight or listed items). Your final charge may vary slightly from this estimate.

If your payment method fails, your laundry may be held until payment is resolved. Unpaid orders left unresolved for 90 days may be donated or discarded at our discretion.

If you enroll in a subscription or recurring plan, you agree to automatic recurring billing at the frequency and rate you selected. You can cancel future renewals anytime via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect after the current billing period ends; we do not offer prorated refunds.

You agree to provide accurate and current billing information. Update any changes to your address, credit card, or payment method promptly. Failure to do so may result in service disruptions or continued charges.

From time to time, we may offer promotions or free trials. These are valid only during the specified period. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you may be charged for continued use.

9. Ending Your Account or Our Services

You can stop using Laundry Buddies at any time. Reach out to us at info@laundrybuddies.com and we'll help you close your account. Before doing so, please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information after your account is closed.

We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services — with or without notice — if you violate these Terms or use the platform in a way that we believe is harmful, abusive, or unlawful. That determination is made at our sole discretion.

Please note that terminating your account may result in the permanent deletion of your account data, order history, and any content associated with your profile. If you delete your account by mistake, contact us as soon as possible — we'll do our best to help, but we can't guarantee recovery of your data.

Some parts of these Terms will still apply even after your account is closed. These include your payment obligations, our rights related to content and intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and how disputes between us are handled.


10. Referrals & Referral Rewards

We love when our customers spread the word! From time to time, Laundry Buddies may offer referral programs that reward you ("the Referrer") for inviting friends, family, or businesses to try our services.

Details about any current referral offers — including the reward amount, eligibility, and how to claim it — will be posted on our Referral Page or shared in promotional materials.

To qualify:

  • The person you refer (the "Referee") must be a new customer who has never signed up with Laundry Buddies before.
  • You can refer as many people as you'd like — unless the offer states otherwise.
  • You'll receive a reward for each eligible referral once the Referee completes the required action (such as creating an account or placing their first order).
  • Multiple referrals to the same individual, household, or business may not be accepted.

We reserve the right to update, pause, or end any referral offer at any time — with or without notice. We may also revoke rewards or incentives from either the Referrer or Referee if we suspect misuse, abuse of the system, or activity that violates the spirit or terms of the referral program.

If rewards were already used or credited under a referral that violated the rules, Laundry Buddies may reverse the credit or seek repayment.

All referral programs are subject to the specific terms and conditions listed in the referral offer or promotion at the time.


11. Your Responsibilities

You know your laundry best — and we rely on your input to care for it properly. Before scheduling a pickup with Laundry Buddies, please make sure to:

  1. Follow care labels: Don't include items labeled "dry clean only" or "hand wash only" in your Wash & Fold bag.
  2. Double-check your order: Make sure no non-washable items (e.g. shoes, electronics, etc.) are included, and that the contents of your bag match what you intended to send.
  3. Let us know about special care: If any items have visible defects, stains, or special handling needs, please let us know when you place the order.

12. Deliveries, Pickups, and Unclaimed Items

To help us deliver your clean clothes back to you on time, please make sure we have a valid delivery address and payment method on file.

If your items are ready and we cannot complete the delivery, we reserve the right to donate or responsibly dispose of your items.

We don't want that to happen — so we'll always try to notify you multiple times before taking any action.


13. Warranty Disclaimer

Laundry Buddies and its partners, suppliers, contractors, affiliates, and team members (collectively, the "Laundry Buddies Parties") strive to provide high-quality service — but we can't guarantee everything will always be perfect.

The Laundry Buddies Parties do not make any guarantees or warranties about:

  • The accuracy, legality, or reliability of any content on our website or platform
  • The quality or results of services or products recommended or offered through the platform
  • Your experience using the Services, including uptime or performance

All Laundry Buddies services and content are provided "as is" and without any warranties, whether express or implied. This includes (but is not limited to) any implied warranties of:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Continuous or error-free operation

We do our best, but we can't promise the platform will always be free of bugs, delays, or outages. You use our Services at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on implied warranties — so some of the above may not apply to you.


14. Limitation of Liability

(a) Lost or Damaged Laundry

At Laundry Buddies, we do our best to care for your clothes like they're our own — and we've put safeguards in place to reduce the chances of loss or damage. However, we can't promise accidents will never happen. By using our Services, you agree to the following:

  • We're not responsible for any non-laundry items (e.g. keys, headphones, in-ear headphones, jewelry, etc.) left in your bag or clothing pockets. Please double-check before handing off your laundry.
  • We're not liable for normal wear and tear that can happen during pickup, cleaning, or delivery — including things like:
    • Fading, shrinking, or thinning
    • Loss of buttons or threads
    • Zipper or fastener breakage
    • Minor holes, fraying, or abrasion
  • If you send us items that go against their care labels (for example, putting a "dry clean only" item in a Wash & Fold bag), we'll do our best to catch it — but we can't guarantee it won't be washed. In those cases, we're not responsible for damage that results from the incorrect care instructions.
  • We don't guarantee full stain removal, but we'll try our best — some stains just won't budge, even with professional care.
  • Laundry Buddies is not responsible for lost clothing unless the loss was directly due to our own error.

(b) What Happens If Something Goes Wrong

If your items were lost or damaged due to our mistake, we'll do our best to make it right.

To qualify for reimbursement:

  • You must notify us in writing within 14 days of your delivery
  • Your request must include a clear description of the issue, along with any supporting documentation (photos, receipts, etc.)

If we confirm that we were at fault, we may reimburse you at our discretion — up to:

  • $200 per item, and
  • $500 per order maximum

Please note: If your item is covered under a manufacturer's warranty (e.g., Lululemon, Patagonia), we may ask you to contact them first. We may require proof of that request before proceeding with any compensation from Laundry Buddies.

(c) General Liability Limits

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Laundry Buddies and its team (including employees, affiliates, and partners) will not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages — including loss of income, business interruption, or emotional distress
  • Replacing clothing or items beyond the limits listed above
  • Any issues caused by events outside our reasonable control (e.g. weather, transit delays, system outages)
  • Any total liability exceeding $500 per customer per claim

Some states may not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you depending on where you live.

(d) For Business and Commercial Clients

If you're a commercial customer (such as a chiropractor, gym, vacation rental, spa, medical clinic, or corporate office), the above terms still apply. Additionally:

Business clients are responsible for ensuring all items submitted are accurately counted, securely bagged, and compliant with service terms.

Invoices must be paid in full prior to delivery unless alternate payment terms have been approved in writing.

For large-volume orders, we may use estimated billing based on weight, item type, or client-defined bundles. You agree to review and report any discrepancies within 7 days of the invoice date.

Business reimbursements, if approved, will follow the same limits as residential clients unless a separate commercial agreement is in place.


15. Indemnification

By using Laundry Buddies, you agree to protect, defend, and hold harmless Laundry Buddies and its affiliated companies, employees, partners, and agents (collectively, the "Laundry Buddies Parties") from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses — including reasonable attorneys' fees — that arise out of or relate to:

  • Your use or misuse of our Services
  • Any activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized or not
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable laws or regulations

This includes, for example, claims brought by others based on items you've submitted for cleaning or your conduct as a business customer.

If such a claim, suit, or action (a "Claim") is brought against us, we'll do our best to notify you using the contact information linked to your account. However, even if we're unable to deliver that notice, it does not limit your indemnification responsibilities under this section.


16. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms — including your Laundry Buddies account — to anyone else without our prior written approval. This applies whether the transfer is by law, contract, or otherwise.

We, however, may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms at any time, with or without notice or your consent — for example, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.


17. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute or claim related to your use of the Laundry Buddies Services, will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Federal Arbitration Act, applicable federal law, and the laws of the State of California, without regard to California's conflict of laws rules.


18. Arbitration Agreement

Please read this section carefully. It outlines how disputes between you and Laundry Buddies will be resolved — including a requirement that certain disputes be handled through arbitration instead of court proceedings.

Both you and Laundry Buddies agree that in the event of a dispute related to these Terms or the Services, our employees, contractors, and affiliates ("Laundry Buddies Personnel") are considered third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and have the right to enforce these Terms against you.

(a) Attempt to Resolve First

Before starting any legal process, both parties agree to try to resolve disputes informally and in good faith. If we're unable to reach a resolution through direct communication, either party may choose to proceed with arbitration as described below.

(b) Binding Arbitration

If a dispute isn't resolved informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services) using its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures, conducted in English. The arbitration will take place in Alameda County, California, unless the JAMS Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards require the hearing to be held in your county of residence.

  • A single arbitrator with experience in commercial contract or service-related disputes will be selected.
  • Judgment on the final award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
  • JAMS Optional Arbitration Appeal Procedures apply to disputes of $250,000 or more.

(c) Small Claims & IP Exceptions

You or Laundry Buddies may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court in Alameda County or in your local jurisdiction. In addition, either party may go to court to seek injunctive relief or to protect intellectual property rights (e.g. copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets) without first going through arbitration.

(d) No Jury Trials

By agreeing to these Terms, you and Laundry Buddies waive the right to a trial by jury for any disputes covered by this arbitration agreement. Arbitration is typically faster and less expensive than court, with limited rights to appeal.

(e) No Class Actions

All disputes must be handled individually. You and Laundry Buddies agree that:

  • Claims may not be brought as part of a class action or consolidated with other users' claims.
  • If a court finds this class action waiver unenforceable, the entire arbitration section becomes void and any dispute will proceed in court instead.

(f) Opting Out

You can opt out of this Arbitration Agreement within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing a notice to: info@laundrybuddies.com.

Your notice must include:

  1. Your full name and mailing address
  2. The email or phone number associated with your account
  3. A clear statement that you are opting out of the arbitration provision

(g) If You Opt Out or Arbitration Doesn't Apply

If you opt out or if arbitration is not enforceable for any reason, you and Laundry Buddies agree that any resulting legal disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

(h) Severability

If any part of this Arbitration Agreement — such as the ban on class actions — is found unenforceable, then this entire Arbitration section will be void. Otherwise, this agreement to arbitrate survives even after your use of Laundry Buddies ends.


19. Miscellaneous

Taxes and Reporting: You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or other governmental fees related to your use of Laundry Buddies. While we may choose to handle certain filings or payments on our own behalf, this does not shift your responsibility unless we explicitly agree to take it on for you.

No Waiver: If either you or Laundry Buddies doesn't enforce a right under these Terms at any point, it doesn't mean that right is waived or given up.

Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that specific part will be adjusted or removed to the extent necessary — and the rest of the Terms will remain fully valid and enforceable.

Entire Agreement: These Terms represent the complete agreement between you and Laundry Buddies. They replace any prior agreements, understandings, or communications — written or verbal — related to the Services.

Independent Relationship: You agree that your use of Laundry Buddies does not make you an employee, agent, partner, or representative of Laundry Buddies in any way. You do not have authority to act on behalf of or bind Laundry Buddies to any obligation.
